A Behavior Technician provides direct in-home services to children diagnosed with Autism and other related disabilities under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Duties: -Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions (i.e. DTT, PECS, NET, PRT, etc.) to children with special needs in a 1:1 setting in the home and community. -Address problematic behaviors in accordance with Positive Behavior Support techniques. -Collect accurate & reliable data for skill acquisition and problem behaviors on a daily basis. -Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with client’s individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols. -Attend monthly staff meetings and professional development meetings. -Follow ethical standards regarding behavioral modification. -Collaborate with team members and maintain ongoing communication. -Assist with training new hires to aid in the readiness of new employees by creating a positive job shadowing experience.
